What is it with councils that they have to follow the line of ‘We must build more and more houses’?
Where I live, the town has expanded relentlessly in the last thirty years. My trip to work takes more than twice as long as it did twenty years ago because of the sheer volume of cars on the road. Now they want to build another five thousand, yes FIVE THOUSAND houses at Cheeseman’s Green. Let’s say conservatively that’s another 7,500 cars on the roads of Ashford. Duh! Is it just me? Someone explain please, why do we have to build more and more houses in existing places? There is a balance between providing what may be necessary and the quality of life for those already living there. It’s just getting ridiculous.
